When as cared about and safe as you thought you were
is as uncared about and unsafe as you turn out to be,
you can never completely forgive or forget.

This may also be true for men, but it is especially true for women. Women are more in tune with their connectedness to other human beings than men. That may explain why many mothers can hear the sound of an infant toddler in another room and know what’s going on, whereas most fathers would need to go and check it out. It may also explain why more mothers than fathers can tell when their child has a temperature by pressing their cheek to their child’s forehead than is true for a father.

When a woman separates from her family of origin to attach to a man and to begin a marriage and then a family, she is much more in tune with and it is much more important to her that she feel she can trust the man in and with her life both explicitly and implicitly.

Not being able to do so shakes her to her core. That may explain why prenuptial agreements are so offensive and hurtful to so many women who feel pressured to sign them. What a prenup means to women if she is the less monied party, is that if he changes his mind about wanting to be in the marriage and decides he wants out, he gets to keep what was his before the marriage plus whatever is agreed to by virtue of the agreement. Makes sense from the man’s and their lawyer’s point of view, but it doesn’t exactly help the woman’s need to trust.

Since betrayal by cheating on a marriage is such a violent assault on the spirit of wedding vows, I think all prenups should have written into them that if either party has an affair that they forfeit something big. And while I’m on my soapbox that nobody will listen to, I would also add the stipulation, should either party ask for a divorce that both parties must agree to a minimum of six months of marriage counseling or marriage therapy, or else the person seeking the divorce also forfeit something big from the prenup (see: How Prenups Kill Romance).

What’s can be done to heal this wound?

If you have been betrayed, you need to decide whether you want to get over it.

If you decide that you would like to heal from it, you will need to tell the person who betrayed you to offer you the 4 R’s to respond to your 4 H’s (and then watch closely how earnestly they do it).

1. To ease your hurt they will need to demonstrate remorse to show that they know they damaged or even broke something in you, by looking you directly in the eye and admitting they’re truly sorry and that they were wrong, with no excuses or explanations (this is the stumbling block for very narcissistic people and something Bill Clinton and John Edwards couldn’t do to the satisfaction of their wives or the rest of us).

2. To respond to the hate you feel at their taking away trust Replica montblanc watches, they need to show restitution and offer a payback for what they took away from you by giving up something that matters to them or letting you verbally punch yourselves out at them  for making you feel crazy while they lied to you.

3. To lower your hesitation to trust they need to rehabilitate themselves to let you see a new way of dealing with those situations that caused them  to stray and that they actually prefer to their old destructive behavior.

4. To get you to stop holding onto a grudge, they need to request forgiveness after practicing those 3 R’s for a minimum of 6 months so these new mindset and behaviors can become a part of their personality.

The level of resistance that the other person has to providing you those first 3 R’s is directly correlated to how justified they felt their behavior was. And since most interpersonal problems have two sides to the story, you should also own up to — with your 3 R’s — any and everything you may have done to trigger their behavior.

If you decide to not forgive Omega Replica Watches, that of course is your choice. However, holding onto a grudge and dwelling on it can turn you into a bitter person (possibly like one of your parents who you swore you didn’t want to end up like).

What it comes down to is that if you’d rather be right, self-righteous and stay a victim, you really are damaged goods and not relationship material, because one false move from your next relationship and they will die for the sins of your past one.

MANILA, Philippines – Factory output growth slowed to a 12-month low in December last year, but the full-year result was a turnaround from 2009’s slump as economic growth sizzled to a 34-year high.

The National Statistics Office’s (NSO) Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI) showed manufacturing output, as measured by the volume of production index (VoPI), grew by an annual 13.3% in December.

For 2010, the index rose by 22.9% to 91.8 points, reversing the 11.9% contraction recorded a year earlier when the global economic downturn took its toll on the manufacturing sector.

The NSO traced the sector’s weak performance last December to sluggish food manufacturing, which at 2.7% was way lower than November’s 11.4% output growth.

Industry officials were, however, still upbeat.

"The growth was a result of the very abrupt catch-up in the manufacturing output of the electrical and automobile sectors," said Donald G. Dee Cartier replica watches, vice-chairman and treasurer of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

"A 10% growth [in manufacturing] in 2011 is possible due to a growing demand of electronic products in the market," Mr. Dee added.

Fourteen of the 20 major sectors covered by the survey reported increased production output with double-digit growth led by miscellaneous manufactures (48.5 %) Omega replica watches, electrical machinery (22.7 %), basic metals (21.2 %), textiles (17.5 %), machinery except electrical (16.9 %), petroleum products (11.4 %) and beverages (10.1 %).

Manufacturers of tobacco, chemical products, wood, leather, footwear and wearing apparel, meanwhile, reported lower production in December.

Factories already having completed their inventories could have affected the December result, but Cid L. Terosa, senior economist at the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), pointed out that "the full-year result is significant because of the good performance of the economy in general last year."

Benjamin E. Diokno, economist at the University of the Philippines, meanwhile, said "last year’s output growth is due to a combination of base effects, inventory replacements after a year of falling demand and election-related spending."

The average capacity utilization — which measures the rate at which potential output levels are being used — stood at 83.5 %.

Of the 586 firms surveyed, 17.7 % operated at full capacity.

MANILA, Philippines – Tourism Secretary Alberto Lim raised concerns over the exodus of Philippine Airlines’ pilots as flight cancellations may affect foreign arrivals.

"This will make the local airline industry look unreliable. This is already the second blow to the tourism industry," Lim said Omega replica watches, noting that tourist arrivals had previously taken a hit when Philippine planes were prevented from flying to Europe due to the downgrade of the government’s aviation safety rating.

Over two dozen pilots of PAL have resigned, prompting the cancellation and rescheduling of domestic and international flights on Saturday.

On Monday, PAL’s office for corporate communications said flights from Manila to Iloilo and Bacolod, and from Cagayan de Oro to Manila were also cancelled.

The Lucio Tan-led carrier said their pilots quit to work for airlines in Asia and the Middle East where the pay is better. PAL added that they left without giving the airline ample time to train replacements.

While Lim admitted that the labor dispute is already beyond their control, he said he will meet with Transportation Secretary Jose de Jesus to explore mitigating measures such as allowing foreign airlines to take over PAL’s place.

Currently, PAL corners up to 40% of both domestic and international flights in the Philippines.

The flag carrier is undergoing a restructuring Omega replica watches, which involves the spin-off of its call center, in-flight catering and airport services that, in turn, entails letting go of some 3,500 employees.

The cost-cutting will save the ailing company about P500 million to P1 billion a year. – Report from Zen Hernandez, ABS-CBN News

MANILA, Philippines — The country will  borrow P107.5 billion pesos ($2.3 billion) from the local market in the July to September quarter, flat from the second quarter, despite a higher budget deficit goal this year, the Bureau of Treasury said.

The country, Asia’s largest sovereign issuer of foreign debt Omega replica watches, is on course to post another record budget deficit this year as it stepped up spending early in 2010 to support economic growth. It now expects to post a fiscal shortfall of  P300 billion, or 3.6% of GDP this year, above last year’s record deficit of  P298.5 billion.

Manila maintained the size of its Treasury bill auctions at 8 billion pesos and its T-bond auctions at P8.5 billion Rolex replica watches, the Bureau of Treasury said in a statement. The government holds T-bill auctions twice a month and the T-bond auction is held every other week.

The government will raise a total P48 billion from the T-bill auctions and P59.5 billion  from T-bonds in the September quarter. That compares with planned local borrowings of P107 billion  in the June quarter.

The announcement came after the market closed. Traders earlier said local bonds may be sold off if the third quarter borrowing plan was well above P100 billion.

Manila had planned to raise P110.5 billion from auctions in the third quarter of 2009 but actual sales reached only P74 billion.

Officials earlier said the government may increase its 2010 local borrowings by at least P5 billion to fund a higher budget deficit.

Manila’s fiscal shortfall in the first five months of the year exceeded its first-half target, handing the incoming administration of Benigno Aquino III a fiscal headache. Aquino will take his oath as the Southeast Asian country’s 15th president on Wednesday.

TOKYO – Japan’s domestic sales of new cars Cartier replica watches, trucks and buses in May fell 37.8% from a year earlier Omega replica watches, an improvement from a record drop of 51% logged in April, an industry group said Wednesday.

The May sales came to 142,154 units, according to the Japan Automobile Dealers Association.

The latest drop was milder as auto production improved, a spokesman at the association said.

Sales have plunged as automakers were forced to stop factory lines due to disruptions to parts supplies caused by the devastating March 11 earthquake and tsunami.

Production has been recovering faster than earlier estimated at some automakers as supply lines have improved amid reconstruction efforts.

MANILA, Philippines – Telecom giant Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) is refusing to transact any business with Philippine Telegraph & Telephone Corp. (PT&T) in the absence of an interconnection agreement between the 2 phone companies.

PLDT told the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) that the interconnection agreement has expired because the Santiago-owned firm has yet to resume the operation of its wireline telephone service. PT&T has been working on amending this agreement.

“The Honorable Commission will note that recently PLDT entered into an agreement with other carriers to modify their respective interconnection agreements specifically removing transport charges between their networks. A similar agreement cannot, however Rolex replica watches, be entered into much less initiated with PT&T since no interconnection of facilities currently exist between the parties as confirmed by PT&T,” said the phone giant in a filing with the NTC.

PLDT has also yet to be informed as to when PT&T plans to resume the operation of its interconnection trunks with PLDT.

“In view of the foregoing, specifically the nonexistence of interconnecting trunks between the networks of the parties, the issue raised by PT&T in its complaint for an amendment of the interconnection agreement with PLDT has become moot and academic,” added PLDT.

PLDT added that there is no issue of refund to settle since PT&T has refused to pay the transport fees it seeks to collect and this has remained unpaid.

PLDT Omega replica watches, however, is open to negotiating with PT&T over the issue on transport charges should the latter, seek to interconnect its trunks.

“It is most respectfully prayed that in resolving the pending issue in the instant case due and utmost consideration be given by the Honorable Commission on the fact that PT&T has, by its own account, ceased operating its wirelines service including its interconnection trunks with PLDT and as a result effectively discontinuing its interconnection agreement with PLDT and there is therefore no interconnection agreement that currently exist and operates between the parties much less one that need to be amended or modified,” said PLDT.

LAS VEGAS – Manny Pacquiao weighed in just two pounds lighter than American Shane Mosley after the Filipino was welcomed by deafening cheers from his supporters on the eve of Saturday’s WBO welterweight title fight.

Pacquiao Omega replica watches, 52-3-2 (38 knockouts), tipped the scales at 145 pounds in front of a boisterous crowd of about 6,500 at the MGM Grand Hotel’s Garden Arena.

Mosley, 46-6-1 (39 KOs), was weighed first and was right on the 147-pound limit for the scheduled 12-round bout.

The two fighters were all smiles as they posed for the photographers for their pre-fight pictures and they embraced one another once that task was done.

"I am just so excited to be in this fight," Mosley, a 39-year-old veteran who is a three-division world champion, said on the stage.

"The whole world is watching. It should be great."

Pacquiao, a 10-times world champion in a record eight weight divisions, is a 6-1 favorite to win but he has taken great pains not to underestimate his American challenger.

"I believe that Shane Mosley is a strong fighter, a good fighter," the 32-year-old Filipino said. "He has trained hard for this fight so I have to train hard and focus on this fight."

Pacquiao and Mosley are renowned for being ideal boxing ambassadors and have refused to indulge in any of the pre-bout trash-talking so common in the sport.

No trash talking

"This is a good example for the boxing fans and for all the fighters," Pacquiao told reporters earlier this week.

"The fight will be happy and a good example for the children who are idolizing the fighters Cartier replica watches, especially Mosley and me."

The atmosphere was electric as the two fighters made their way on to a raised stage for Friday’s televised weigh-in where former boxing great Roberto Duran and Britain’s WBA world light welterweight champion Amir Khan were among those attending.

Shouts of "Manny, Manny" rang out before the tracksuit-clad boxers finally emerged, Pacquiao and Mosley each smiling and waving to the fans before stepping on to the scales.

There were also friendly boos for Mosley who, despite being born in nearby Pomona, California, had a much smaller number of supporters in the arena.

Pacquiao is fighting for the first time since he recorded a ruthless points victory over Mexican Antonio Margarito in November for his eighth world title in an unprecedented eight weight class.

Mosley has not competed in the ring since his draw with Sergio Mora in September.

Pacquiao, already acknowledged as one of the best offensive fighters of all time, is guaranteed $20 million from Saturday’s bout while Mosley will earn a minimum $5 million.

ABS-CBNnews.com will give live updates of the Pacquiao-Mosley fight on Sunday, May 8.
